formerly known as Georgia Lunatic Asylum, in Milledgeville, Georgia. Abandoned for many years, it's vine-eaten, broken-windowed buildings were a study in creepy stateliness.
Another fascinating photo! We also have a Central State Hospital, but it is not abandoned. I like how you have framed the entrance with the trees.
One of my sons gave me a book for Christmas, Rural Churches of Georgia, because I became entranced with the small towns and churches on the drive from Florida to Fort Benning.
