What an absolutely cute capture of your son and costume. And love his smile. He looks good as a young Russian Cossack!! Where'd he get the Moscovite hat? We were in Russia in September, and I brought one home with me..... I'm so glad to see the kids studying different countries. We seem to grow up knowing so little about everywhere else in the world. What school in SD does he go to?
@aglennc, @tthompsonca: My son goes to Mt. Helix Academy. Each March each class spends extensive time studying one specific country. Peru, Ireland, Russia, England, India, China, France, Australia, etc ... They learn about, food, music, cultural events, history, etc. It culminates in a community Multicultural event where foods from all countries are made available and live entertainment from many of the countries are showcased. The children exhibit their many projects (history, art, etc.) that they have been working on all month. It is AWESOME!!
