Half Marathon Medals

Not the best picture, but I am pretty proud of my accomplishment!!
Hey, nice. Congratulations are in order!. I wish I did some of that! Our daughter, now in her mid 40s, started doing marathons, triathlons, and then Ironman competitions (also the "half versions") in her early 20s, and she's still at it. Has done the Boston Marathon several times and did the NYC Marathon in November. Don't know where she got it....l didn't get it from either of us. Going to Calgary in July to do their half ironman.... (and that's the excuse for visiting our family who all live in the area.)

@aglennc: I just started walking as part of an exercise routine. That's it, just walking. Now 1/2 marathons, maybe I'll try a full marathon next year. I power walk the whole course though ... no running for me!

@mariaostrowski I ought to walk more than I do. Most of my "walks" are with Bradley. We don't say the word "walk" around him unless we mean it...... land right NOW!

@aglennc: YES! I understand we cannot saw W-A-L-K around Joey without big expectations!

@mariaostrowski Oh yes, same here. We also can't say "doggy park" "DP" (which we started using after he caught on to "doggy park', "go" or "ready" around him. For the dog park where I take him almost daily foran hour or so, we now use Pig Latin -- "ogday arkpa_ -- Not sure what we'll use when he catches on to that. Spelling it might work for awhile. (He also tells time. Knows when it's 1:30 daily -- park time! Durn little mutts. Aren't they smart -- and wonderful?
