Japanese Friendship Garden

At Balboa Park today. Always a fun time! We took advantage of the NEW Balboa Park Explorer Card and went to some less frequently visited spots. It was a beautiful day!

Lovely. We haven't heard of the Explorer Card. Course, now that we don't live in San Diego any more, we miss out on things there. I sure do miss it.

@aglennc: they now offer an annual pass that is good at 20 of the museums for$199 for a family (2 adults & up to 4 kids) It's a great deal!!

I'll say! Wow! Wish they'd had that when our kids were growing up. We do still keep up our Zoo//Safari Park annual pass. We live 5 miles as the crow flies from the back of the Safari Park and go there now and then. Rarely get to the zoo anymore. (When the night is silent and the wind just right we can hear the gibbons in Safari Park screeching from our yard.)

@aglennc: YES! It's an awesome deal for locals! It's been in the works for MANY years, I am just happy to be able to enjoy it! I have been meaning to make my way up to the Safari Park sooner than later, it's been about 4 years since I was there!!
