We went to a wedding today... everything was just beautiful and the weather cooperated with lots of sunshine. As lovely and special as all weddings are, I have to admit that I always hope we will be treated to a "Doloris cake" at the reception. For those of you who do not know what this is, let me tell you that not only are they always beautiful, but they are the most delicious cakes ever! And I am sorry for all those who have never experienced this little piece of confection perfection!
that looks beautiful! and I'm pleased to hear that some bakers out there do make yummy wedding cakes and I have been to well over 200 weddings and have NEVER had a yummy slice of cake.
Oh my gosh... how sad :( I'd love to be able to box you up a piece and send it, but I'm sure it would lose a little of its perfection in transit :) THis cake had a layer of chocolate with Bavarian creme filling and a layer of white with raspberry filling, but my personal favorite is white cake with peppermint candy filling... YUMMY! She also makes a killer carrot cake.
