A member of the carnation family, I grew up calling these Pinks or Sweet Williams, but learned today their correct name is Dianthus. Whatever name they go by, I really like them because they seem to grow without much care, and I am not much of a gardener. I finally decided to purchase a subscription to Picnik today and tried out a couple of new editing techniques on this photo, which made me even happier with the shot. :)
