These are the welcome signs from the 6 states we entered on our way to Milwaukee. We started in Washington, so there is no sign for it, but that makes 7 states we were in from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. We left Butte MT on Saturday morning and drove straight through to Milwaukee... 1400 miles!... not by choice but because all South Dakota motels were full due to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which we did not think of or plan for.

@hagscat@hagscat We Yanks... at least those of us who live west of the Mississippi... think of a 5-hour drive almost as a "commute!" Well that is a bit of an exaggeration, but distances "out west" are definitely different than "back east" and in the UK and Europe.
