It's Harvest Time! by marilyn

It's Harvest Time!

This is obviously a pretty big farming operation since they have five huge combines, two bank-out wagons, two tractors and seven semis. The process generally goes something like this... The combines dump the grain into the bank-out wagons which are pulled around the fields by the tractors, the bank-out wagons then dump into the semis, which then haul the grain to the big grain storage elevators at Central Ferry on the Snake River. From there the grain is barged down the Snake and the Columbia to Portland where it is inspected and sent overseas.
Wow... Ok, your collages are really making me jealous!!!

Wow! that is a well organised big operation. Most we see here is 2 combines in one field lol
Nice collage.

We just read about the Snake River in our reading story yesterday! How fun that you mentioned it in your post. I'll have to tell my third graders today.

@hagscat Thanks... 2-3 combines, 3-4 trucks and 1 bank-out and tractor is much more normal around here, which is why I wanted this shot of so many! I also was impressed with the way they were all lined up at the end of the day.

@djl Oh, I am so excited to be a part of your lessons for the day!

@grammyn Thank you, thank you, thank you... :)
