Eye of the Beholder

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder... but I don't now if I should look at this as autumn beauty or autumn work! :) It is gorgeous, but it also needs to be raked up... especially since Mr. Alex does not like having to go through the thick carpet of leaves to take care of his personal business. :)
I say 'Autumn Beauty". They need to stay there until the spring to protect the grass. Rake a path for Mr. Alex!

@grammyn That's usually our theory, too... but I am wondering just what you are raking in your photo if you feel the need for leaves to protect the grass over the winter?

@marilyn It WASN'T leaves. I was raking up some of the pine needles and cones that were left from when we cut down the tree. It was definitely and overdue chore The leaves I "leave" until spring. I figure that is why we call them leaves! ;.}

@grammyn I like that theory. I must've already believed it, since I never rake my leaves.
