Bad Hair Day by marilyn

Bad Hair Day

More manual mode practice. I have finally figured out how to set the ISO, aperture(f-stop) and shutter speed on the camera... and I am beginning to see the relationship between them! Yay me! Now if this knowledge will just survive overnight and on into the days past that... :)
Cool! Hope I can figure all that out too!!! Love this paperclip holder!

I love it! I wish I had one of those to hold my paper clips - I don't know what settings you are using but they are working.

I'm learning about the capability of my camera so in the future I can justify getting a fancier one.

@trishhereford It is pretty cute... but I really don't care for the coated paperclips... I think they scratch the paper more than the regular ones, so I just have it on my desk for decoration. I got it last fall (I think) from the "Book Guy" that comes around to all the schools. Thanks for the kind words.... :)

Set your apeture to the lowest setting then you can forget about it, then set your ISO to 400 and forget about that, put it on auto-focus and forget about that...all you've got left is shutter speed to alter as you need, depending on the light. Now just remember never to go below the focal length of your lens with your shutter speed - so minimum shutter speed hand held is 0/50 if your lens is 50mm. That's how easy it is.

@chewyteeth Easy for you! I was also trying to autofocus. but I think I may just let my lens do that from now on! :)
January 20th, 2012
You mean you were trying to manually focus, your lens does autofocus. Really follow the instructions, you've only got shutter speed to worry about, one variable - if its dark turn it the other way, if its too light, turn it the opposite. you can't go wrong. Like if there's too much water coming out of a tap tighten it, if there's not enough turn it up.
