Day 3 of my May "double-dose" challenge. This one was tough, but I remembered that I had this book in the library and fortunately the title page had some color to it!
@grammyn Thanks so much! The only thing I don't like about the shot is the stripes which happen when I use a flash on paper... and I don't have a bright enough light at school to get the sparkle/reflection I wanted from the ring. The double-dose challenge is actually a result of a moment from one of my followers after the May 1 when I used one shot for both challenges and she "suggested" I could really challenge myself by doing the whole month of both challenges in one photo, so I am attempting that.
@wannabe Thanks, Catherine... I also love the diamond reflections and the heart shape, neither which I saw until I looked at the photo after I took it.
I'll echo what others have said: that heart-shaped reflection of light is pretty cool. That's quite the serendipity there if you didn't stage that. Cool shot.
@mstipe Thank you... :) The May Challenge word today was Love and the 5 weeks in May challenge theme is Color from the 1st - 5th, which, based on the themes for the rest of the month, I think just means photos take in color.
@fonk Thank you, Ryan. It really was serendipity... After I took the shot and looked at it on my phone I was so excited about the reflections of the diamonds that I actually didn't even notice the heart until Katy mentioned it!
I too really like the heart shape the ring makes. It's the perfect addition to this shot.
