Day 6 of my May double-dose challenge. The 5 Weeks in May theme this week is black & white or monochrome and the May challenge word today is vintage. I think my Mom's little Mary Jane's fit the vintage theme perfectly and I processed them in B&W, because our DSLR doesn't shoot in B&W... or if it does I couldn't find out how in the manual! :)
Wonderful capture. Make me wonder now if the pair I have are mine or mom's> For some reason I thought they were mine but they look so much like these that I'll bet they are hers!
@grammyn OR I could be wrong about these... One thing I know is that they are not mine, since my first pair of shoes were corrective! Oh... thanks... :)
Great photo. Looks like these shoes were worn as long as they possibly could be, probably beyond when they technically still fit. I love that you can almost read the history on them.
@mstipe They are special and I feel very blessed to have several little pieces of history like this... including the doily they are sitting on that has hand-embroidered eyelet made by my great-great-grandma. :)
