13 November – I love both my parents dearly, but today I am especially thankful for my Dad's woodworking skills. He gave me this adorable turtle jigsaw puzzle when we were visiting yesterday. It looks like he is trying to crawl up on my computer... I'm not sure if he thinks I need help or just wants to be sociable! :)
@grammyn Thanks, so much! I guess I get good close-ups because I have a good phone? I did crop out some of the edges on this because I ended up not being happy with the "scene" as I shot it. I thought I wanted more of the computer in it, but decided I didn't like it that way so I just cropped it right out! :)
@grammyn The lighting (and perhaps because of that the details?) was because the desk is right by the window and I was getting great southern exposure, cloud-filtered light. Trust me it was pure luck!
@deburahiru Thanks so much, Deb! Dad is very good with wood! :) it was mostly a very lucky iPhone shot... perfect lighting, a bit of iPhoto crop and there you have it. The iPhone does very well in good light, but not so well in low light.
