FEALL BAY LOOKING WEST by markp

FEALL BAY LOOKING WEST

Well woke up this morning after some very heavy rain, to discover my fellow campers had run off to the ferry. I think I might follow them on Sunday if the forecast is no better.
It is very windy, raining or drizzly, and actually feels cold. I don't mind cycling in the rain, but have covered all the roads on the island several times. I will also walk in the rain, but as this was primarily planned as a cycling trip, I haven't got any decent outdoor walking stuff with me. With this weather you need it.

Went out for a drive past the airport towards the West End of the island. Got to the RSPB Reserve and parked up. I walked up to the top of Ben Feall, near to where this shot was taken. I then got down and walked right along this lovely beach, and took some shots from the other end. One of which is my next post.

If you look through the mist to the left of this you might just be able to see another faint hillside. Below that lies another wonderful beach, two or three times the size of this one.
While I was wandering around here I never saw anyone else out enjoying the views if not the weather.
I saw a few Hares, and waders, but nothing really of note.

I need to come back here on a nice day.

It still looks pretty even if mother nature is not cooperating with your plans.
