This lovely well known church hides a little known secret, over the years it has moved three times!
From being finished and consecrated in 1860 it was in Flintshire until 1974 when it visited Clwyd till 1996 and has now moved to Denbighshire. Some traveling for such a huge edifice.
Fortunately perhaps it was due to County Boundary changes and it did not go wandering off on its own.
It is St. Margarets Church at Bodelwyddan in Wales, better known as the Marble Church, it is in fact built of Limestone outside. The Marble is used inside.
