Another beautiful and roasting hot day, sat down by the pond waiting for something to happen. Bingo, it was that hot there was a steady stream of Wasps landing on the pond weed and I can only guess they were doing so to obtain water.
Smashing shot Mark. I see that you have masses of that wretched floating weed too! A couple of years back I spent a long time fishing it off the surface of my pond and then picking out every single piece that remained. If I see any at all I have it out PDQ before it becomes a nuisance again!
@steampowered Thanks very much Paul, I have cleared it in past years just not got round to it this year and like you say you really do need to keep on top of it. One good thing is it provides loads of food and shelter for all sorts of water bugs and stuff.
