GREEN BARGES by markp

GREEN BARGES

A very busy day, not even chance to get out in the garden for the birds, finally ended up in Runcorn, late, down by the canal.
I really like the colours here.

This is a great shot. Especially when I looked at it large. Wonderful composition, reflection and color!

We have alot of barges in St. Louis but none of them look as nice as this. Great shot.

Are the canals going over their banks yet with all the rain? My aunt and uncle used to have one of these, a 50 footer. We got to use it for a weeks vacation along the Grand Canal several years ago. Lovely way to travel and see the country, and relax!!

What's the neon in the distance through the trees. Very colorful barges!

Thank you all very much for viewing and your comments @roachling @barbarajdonnellan @cljs @miata2u

@sailingmusic Thank you very much Myrna, we have not got any real flooding problems this side of the country, its mostly further south. I have not heard of any problems with the canals, I think that is to do with the way they were build to maintain a steady depth. It is the rivers bursting their banks which is causing the real damage.

@darylo Thank you very much Daryl, the green neon lights you can see through the trees are the name sign for a hotel.
