Really short of time today, both shots grabbed in about 4 minutes in the garden, heavy rain, appalling light, having to rush equals high ISO and rather grainy shots. This is Mister Blackbird, and in my other album is Mrs Blackbird. Look closely and you can see the raindrops on his back.
Why have I got no time, well on Sunday planning to head North, somewhere high and cold, and that has EIGHT & a Half FEET of lovely fluffy white stuff, and that is before todays and the next three days of heavy blizzards dump some more up there. I got up early with a mountain of stuff to sort out including dumping loads of photos on to external hard drives to make way for some more photos, probably with more than a hint of white in them. First unplanned snag, car had burst a high pressure diesel pipe covering the entire engine compartment with fuel, got that sorted then discovered washing machine won't drain, full of out door stuff I need. Flooded kitchen getting that open but it still not working right, needs a bit of technical work, best applied with a very heavy sledge hammer. So ended up not doing anything on todays list and need to go to work now !!
Ugh and my sympathy related to your commentary - that's a tough way to end the workweek....especially before a panned trip. BUT, Mr. Blackbird is a terrific shot in its color and detail. I shall go Check out the Mrs. :-)
Enjoy your trip up north!
