@rosiekind Thank you, Rosie. It is a HDR software built into the camera, it takes three slightly different shots and blends them together into one shot. it can work quite well on some things, seems to depend on the light, and various settings on the camera. It can be a pain using it for something as active as a bird, as after you take one shot, it stops you taking any more shots till it has finished processing. While its doing that, of course the bird ( or whatever) will just sit and pose perfectly for you.
I had switched it to this setting as I was just sitting and waiting for the Goldcrests to come into range, and decided I would see if I could get anything interesting whilst they deemed to appear, which they didn't.
