Waking early on the Monday morning, I went for an early morning walk around the lighthouse. It is Britain's most northerly mainland lighthouse. If you look on the horizon to the left, you can see the Island of Hoy, one of the Islands that make up the Orkney's.
It was to the Orkney's that my ferry would be taking me later.
