Wind-blown water-logged sweetgum leaf

Stuck to the floor of the deck after the rain storm, this poor wind-blown water-logged sweetgum tree leaf was just begging to have its picture taken. Ha ha! No, it really didn't speak to me.
Beautiful! Love the color!

We seems to have lots of gold but not much red in our trees...so many oaks around here. I love maple trees but do not see as many in Virginia as I did growing up in Buffalo, NY area. those always had such pretty shades of red.

@Karen Hurd (hwy61), thank for your wonderful comments! Always appreciated! I'm down in South Carolina and although I do have several variety of maple trees around, this is a plain old sweet gum leaf. The are normally yellow this time of year but, we've had so much rain lately, some of them have turned red. It's odd!

hi! i was seeing your comment about wanting to do light painting and i, too, use a p&s kodak and am just learning how to use the maual controls. if yours is anything like mine, your settings are under program and it will allow you to manually adjust those settings. you have a better camera than i do, so i bet you can do it. i have to choose program and then push program on the side of my camera and then pick which function such as iso. hope this helps.

Hi @Camille Blisson, I appreciate that info. I've looked at the manual, tried all the settings and there's some things this little camera won't do. I'll check into it again though. Thank you for your comment and the information!
