There are several varieties of oak trees around my little home. They are the trees that still have not lost all their leaves yet. The scrub oak tree leaves will be the last to go, turning brown and drying on the tree - they won't fall until the new spring leaves push the old dead dry ones off! Found this cluster of red oak leaves in my woods. Thought it looked sort of Christmasy. Yesterday was a very gray and cloudy day when this was shot. It's another day just like it, today.
When my 365 is done I plan to upload about 30 of my favorites to mpix or some other site and have a collage made to hang in my office. You should do the same.
Well that color just POPPED right out at me!! So nice to see that right now amidst all of the grays and browns. Lovely . . and yes, it is very Christmas-y. Great find, maam! (I'd be tempted to take some home and use them for decoration!) :)
