Again, no time for new pics today. A little too much work to do around here. However, I did take one of the take-it-or-leave-it kind of pics from early Monday morning's shoot and did a little experimenting in Photoshop. 1. I ran it through HDR toning on default settings 2. Pushed the black up just a bit, and 3. Increased the saturation by 25 percent and I think I like it much better than what it was before!
They remind me of tiny lights . . twinkling. Beautiful effect. I can't even begin to know what that processing is all about. I picked up some Photoshop software today and promptly put it back down. Better get to know my camera first and use the free picnik! I never edit much at all . And when I try, I usually ruin it and have to start over. There's only so much brain overload that I can take. :)
@karenann Thank you very much! When you're ready for Photoshop, I'll help you any way I can! I'll teach you everything I know you can do with it what you will! LOL! Did you get the email from Pinterest?
I went to the Pinterest site and it said "Welcome to Pinterest!" Then I had to sign up on Facebook to get in. I don't do facebook. . so I guess that I can't get on. Thought that I could get on with just email. :( Oh, and you're such a sweetie . . thanks for the photoshop offer of help. If my photos need that much help, then I'd better give up photography! LOL Seriously, this is becoming more of an "artistic" site than a photo site. But, I guess that that's the direction the photo industry is going.
@munchkin84 Thank you so much! They're just wild grasses gone to seed in the ditch by the road. I am fascinated by them - no doubt! I sure have taken lots of pictures of them. =)
@buggus Yes, ma'am... Splitbeard Blue Stem. It's a native wild grass here in South Carolina. I have more pictures of them in my portfolio and I believe you commented on one or two. =)
I think they'd be lovely in a vase.. I'll have to see if I can find those next, lol.. I told you I found those pretty lantern flowers (fabric)? You have the neatest stuff growing there..
@buggus LOL! You and I have an appreciation for wild things that most folks want to kill or uproot! I hope you find some! The only wild weed I don't like is what they call green briar. It's pretty with its heart shaped green leaves, but it chokes out other wild plants and to kill it, you have to dig it up by the roots. It's a nasty vine with small sharp thorns that will cut your hands and fingers up like a razor blade!
@faeriequeen Aww! Chiquita, you are very kind! Thank you!
@amers79 Thank ya, ma'am!
@twinsplusone LOL! I thought so, too! Thank you, Sharon!
