Found these tiny dried up little wildflowers right next to one of the old landscape timbers in the yard... which made it hard to get a good angle on them. So, I picked them and brought them on the deck. They're smaller than my pinky's finger nail. The old rusty nails in the deck are bigger! I was so amazed by their tiny texture and details... stiff and brittle like very old dried out bones.
@deburahiru Yes, Deb, it's the original color. They are dried up like old bones and protected from the elements almost under a landscape timber. They really are sort of light brown and tan and in some places, they are gray. Thank you for your comments and the view! Always appreciated!
I LOVE these! So tiny and delicate. Of course, I love the earthtones. My favorite colors are all in there . .including the wood textures. And all in your own backyard! :)
wow! they DO NOT look smaller then a pinky nail!!! just goes to show that photos can be so decieving!! they are really pretty tho! i love their dried up look...so delicate and fragile. LOVE the tones!
These are AMAZING! Such wonderful detail, and a really terrific macro!
Thank you so much for always having such kind words about my photos. I don't always have time to reply and thank you for each one individually, but they always make me smile!
Wow, you captured a wonderful photo of them and like the way you arranged them. Hard to believe that they are so small. It is amazing how you can make them look so much larger than they are yet not lose their detail.
Even though they're dried they still have beauty. I like the angle you photographed them where you can faintly make out the wood as the background. A great photo!
Great shot - love that you photographed them against the timber deck as the similar colour tones work so well. Dried flowers can be every bit as pretty as fresh and you get to enjoy them for so much longer!!
What a cool find! They are beautiful, and amazing that they are so small. Love their textures and color tones. "Flower Bones" is such a great title for your shot. 8)
wow, i would've thought they were bigger than that. such a great close up shot. i love how they have a "papery" look to them. great shot with lots of detail!
this one's a fav for me as I'm currently obsessed with these tiny dried up flowers - funny that before 365 i never would have glanced at a bunch of dried up old flowers and now it's one of my favourite things to take a picture of! well, this shot is really fantastic!
