Oh no! Here she comes again!!! Magnify for best view.
The look on this little guy's face just cracked me up! I kept coming back to him and he was still there sunning himself. Take notice of that driven 10 penny nail in the old weathered wood plank for scale.
@karenann LOL! He was green before he got on the boards, Karen. He's an Anole lizard. They can change from greens to browns like some other lizards. I think he was aggravated by me. Ha ha! I just wouldn't go away and stay away. Thank you for your kind comments, as always!
I am a lizard lady! We don't have many of them out here (not that I see too often, anyway). I was from Florida and they were everywhere there. Great capture...so cool that he had is eye on you. You ever see them doing their little lizard push-ups and neck thrust thing.
@cindyrez Thank you so much, Cindy! Board or aggravated, I don't think he was happy. I probably stressed the little guy out! Appreciate your lovely and thoughtful comments!
@amandalomonaco We have something in common! I love lizards, too and I lived in Orlando for nearly 7 years! Yes, this lizard's throat is hot pink and looks like he's swallowing a beautiful butterfly! South Carolina has many Anoles and Skinks. Thank you for your comments and the view!
@marlboromaam I was in Orlando for 25 years. It was a nice place to grow up! Funny that you were there, too. Casselberry specifically. Tons o' lizards. In fact, our only pet now is a bearded dragon...a giant lizard.
@joeboxster No super glue and no ninja. I wish I was stealth like a ninja! LOL! Temps were only in the 50s today. He couldn't move too fast and just wanted to warm himself in the sunshine, I think.
@amandalomonaco I remember I'd bring all my potted plants in from outside whenever there was a frost threat and I always brought in several uninvited lizards with them. LOL! It was a riot trying to run them back outside the next day but, I knew they would die in the house.
What a great find. He is really cool and seems to be looking at you from that one eye. Love the colors and where you found him. Nice detail in this photo.
@darsphotos Aww! Thank you, Darlene! Yeah, he was definitely looking at the monster with the big black thing in her hands. LOL! Appreciate your comments!
@traciwood Thank you very much, Traci! Always appreciate your comments!
@neeko Not very, Nick! If you see the 10 penny nail right by his nose, it will give you an indication of his size. Thanks for the comment and the view! Much appreciated!
@purdey Thank you, Sharon! Yep, he was a character. Temps only in the 50s today so he wasn't moving real fast. I'm sure he just wanted to be left alone to sun himself.
@wannabe LOL! Thank you so much, Catherine! Really appreciate your comments and that you care enough to take the time to listen to a tune. Music is just one of those things I could not live without.
