I know some of you must think, "Why does she always take boring nature shots?" Living out in the country, I don't get much of an opportunity to shoot people. The beautiful blond is my good friend, Cin and that fella, is JG (two more USAF born and raised folks and proud of it, too). They were married the end of December 2011. They invited me to dinner yesterday to celebrate my birthday. How could I refuse? So I drove to Florence, SC with camera, extra battery and charger, a little excited I was going to take some people pics! They didn't mind posing for some shots either and were very cooperative in getting into the unusual portrait positions I had in mind! Spread out a blanket in the sunshine... cheek to cheek and wedding ring hands on each opposite cheek! I liked how this shot came out very much! Cin has a lovely smile on her face and JG just looks so content and happy. After all, he finally got the girl he's had a huge crush on since high school! Thank you for all the wonderful comments! We had a blast taking the pictures, Maggie made us feel so comfortable and relaxed I was worried my hubby would fall asleep, ha! Beautiful Maggie you have captured the newly weds perfectly. Love the rings and love the softness of her hand against the rougher texture of his cheek. Know what you mean about all those nature shots - but, hey, we wouldn't swap the country lifestyle would we??
You do not take boring photos nature shots at all, Maggie. How nice of them to invite you to dinner for your birthday. This photo came out great. How nice to know what you wanted and captured it perfectly with wedding rings showing. Love the way they are head to head. I am so happy that you will be back to pinning to Pinterest also. It's like you are the Director of a film! They look a bit self conscious but that is all part of emotion of the photo. It probably was one of 20 that you took, I imagine, too. I like it because it is close and different!
You really should do more people shots because this one's great! They look so relaxed, and have great, contented, happy expressions. Lovely posing. You've captured their mood very well. 8)
