Continuing with my series of light, shadow, shade and a mirror, I dedicate this one to my father, who was a USAF pilot who served his country for over 33 years and loved the country life. He was raised as a Georgia farm boy. For you my darlin' daddy. I still miss you very much! I know you loved this song... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_sU0pAE-fE
Stinking Bishops Cheesy pun time but thats tree-mendous, It really is, the composition in that mirror is sublime and add yo that the idea. I love mirrors in gardens.
This is so beautiful! I love the light. I love how it's all in the mirror, but the mirror only has a bit of light around it. What a lovely dedication to your father
My husband is from Georgia and has a huge line of ascendants who were Georgia farm boys (old Milton Co., Clarke Co. area). What a sweet tribute to your dad....I love it!!
Wow your world is so beautiful! I gotta fav it. That woodland takes my breath away. And I like your mirror idea. I bet your dad would love this picture.
A beautiful tribute to your Dad, Maggie ... love that song too. And it goes so well with the photo. One wants to walk right into it and sit there. Awesome.
I love this, Maggie. What a great photo. Love the light. Such a lovely tribute to your dad. (I couldn't help but wonder if he thought of that song as he "welcomed you to into his world".)
What a sweet tribute. My father is still with me, but it looks like we both had our dads in our hearts today! This is so awesome how you framed this shot and isolated that fantastic lighting. I'm so impressed!!!

@joeboxster Wow! Thank you for the fav, Joe! Most grateful to you!
What a fabulous, magical reflection. I love how you've set up this shot. I like how the immediate environment where the mirror is, is dark. This is such a wonderful contrast to the bright, attractive image in the reflection. The trees, the plants, the greenery, the sunlight and the shadows... what a beautiful world you live in. And what a thoughtful, touching tribute to your father.
I have loved the shot of yesterday, and still love it, but I prefer that one now, because of the impression of escaping and freedom, as if the mirror was a sort of gate to somewhere "better". Perfect for a tribute to your father !
Great shot. followed your music link and disappeared into a whole series of musical interludes there for a while. Phew! Just got back. Thanks for sharing.

Yep my favourite of the three so far. This is like a welcome to the enchanted woods - I want to step in to your mirror and be spirited off in to a magical world of amazing creatures and fun adventures! FAV!
@kdimagery Thank you, Kd! Really appreciate your kind comments. That bush is a wild rose, commonly called a dog rose. It produces "rose hips" (a red like berry) which are full of natural vitamin C. I take them just like a tablet. =)
I've been out of town and missed all but the first of your series until now...so, can't wait to catch up. First, the tribute is so touching, and the light and emotion in the scene is fantastic
