These are buds on one of my purple crepe myrtles in the back. Because of 365, I have a new appreciation for the lovely round buds as much as I do for the blossoms.
Beautiful Buds! and Bokeh! These are the ones i was talking about with taking after the rain..these are the color i have in my back yard also..The Buds ar slightly bigger and hold the drops well...You have caught them just perfectly in the sunlight! :)
I love how you captured those buds! The light is beautiful. I feel the same, 365 has helped me to appreciate so many things I didn't pay any attention to before!
What a gorgeous shot, Maggie. We are all learning to appreciate so much detail and see things we did not notice before and take photos of them like this shot. The buds are sometimes more beautiful than the flower or a nice combination. Nicely done.

@myhrhelper Thank you, Kathy! It is amazing! No, it won't be the end, but I will probably take a little break. Also, since I hope I'll be working in three weeks, I know I won't have as much time to spend here as I have been. Four 10-hour days per week and moving up to a 60-hour work week during November and December, I'm sure I won't have much time to take many pics either. LOL! But, it will be so good to be working again. Just pray I can hack it and build up my stamina! They told us, if we were paying for a gym membership to let it go... Everyone walks an average of 12 miles per day in the warehouse. I might just drop these extra pounds that I have not been able to get rid of with the onset of menopause. I am looking at every good aspect of this that I can and counting my blessings, too! Everything happens for a reason. =)
I am so glad you will not be leaving here but you also need to take care of you. My thoughts are with you and my fingers and toes are crossed that this job comes through and you are happy. You look at everything so positively and have taught me a lot. So glad to have met you on here, Maggie. Take care and big HUGS from me to you.

@marlboromaam You are welcome, Maggie. I sure do understand how things are and can be. I know you are not gone yet but will slow down especially with a full time job. I have no idea how people stay on here working and with families. It is hard to go away from here especially those of us who have connected and those who love photography and what we get to see on here that we would have never seen anywhere else. Amazing place. There are so many of them, they look amazing! I agree, before 365, there was so much around me I didn't notice! Its great to have our eyes open to the beauty of the world around us!
@marlboromaam I already rec'd several invitations to Pinterest in the past, accepted one and tried my hand at it. But to me it was very confusing. Most likely because I didn't spend enough time trying to figure it out. Then I was receiving comments about things I didn't even post. After a week, I cancelled it. Guess I simply don't have the time either. I really like the way you have your page set up though for the 365 photos.
@cimes1 Right now, the only thing I use it for is to pin my favs for 365, which takes about 2 seconds to do. I have my Pinterest notifications set to "none" so that's not a problem either. It's just wonderful to see comments on 365 about it though! One of my followers just posted on someone's pic that they saw it on one of my Pinterest boards. That's why I do it! More views and comments, and sometimes more follows for folks. Pinterest is rated way up there with Google+ and Facebook now. LOL! But I have time for neither of those since all my spare time is spent here. I've got to spend more time on Google+ in the near future! So many great photographers there, including Trey Ratcliff who is also a big fan of Pinterest for photographers.
