Matching beach bag for the 1960s style beach hat...

Crocheted with REPURPOSED plastic bags. The bags were white with black lettering which gives the items a speckled look. Handy front pocket is useful for sunglasses and other small items.
You are so creative. I've looked up plarn and am going to make a couple of baskets. What size of hook do you use?

@joysabin Thank you! I posted a link to a video on YouTube with the shoulder tote. I'm very happy you're going to give it a go! I use an aluminum size K hook. They don't get quite as warm and stick to the plarn like other hooks will when you're moving along quickly. I can't wait to see what you create! Handmade one of a kind items are very special. =)

@marlboromaam Thank you, may take a while since my follow-through skills are challenged at times.

@wakelys It was taken in July about 10 years ago. =)

@corinnec Thank you, Corinne!

@joysabin I have faith in you!

@koalagardens Thank you, but I really believe anyone can learn to crochet. I'm self taught since I had the attention span of a gnat so long ago when my grandmother tried to teach me. =)

@jernst1779 Thank you, Jean! I think of it as a learned skill. If I can teach myself to crochet - anyone can. =)

How Awesome! You need to go and sell them at those art festivals.

@dutchothotmailcom Thank you, Esther! Done that. Strangers want you to practically give your work away and I'd rather give them to friends who love handmade one of a kind things to wear. =)

It's amazing what you've been able to make with the bags.

@milaniet Thank you, Milanie! I've made lots of hats and beach bags, purses and totes. I'm not inspired to make clothes out of them - although there are some that do.

So many beautiful designs, you should open a shop or sell online.

I agree that you should start up an on line shop

Terrific work! You selling on Etsy yet?!

@sherimiya Thank you, Sheri!

@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana!

@kjarn Thank you, Kathy!

@aikiuser Thank you, Jenn! I have a lot of crocheted wearables to list. I have few friends who have shops on Etsy. They say they're not selling much because people are afraid of catching the virus from the items and/or the packaging. We'll see.
