A few months ago,I learned about an app I have found *very* helpful: LeafSnap. Open the app > take a photo > select the plant part you photographed and the app will give you the possible matches. Also, it works "after the fact": instead of taking a photo, you can upload a photo from your phone. (This is how I was reminded that my post today was Lungwort!)
@rhoing Won't download anymore apps to my phone. Got too many spam texts and calls I didn't recognize. Google's plant ID works the same way, but it has NOT provided me with the right plant yet. You can use it on your desktop and upload your pics to it. https://plant.id/new_identification
@marlboromaam I downloaded the posted image and used LeafScan. The best fit for this image seems to be a tree, Andira inermis in the Fabaceae family. Check out some images of flowering shoots and see if they don't match your specimen. (Do the leaves in the photo belong to the same plant as the flowers?)
O boy, sometimes it so hard to find the match. I tried for you, my search gets as close as the KUDZU plant. See Kudzu Flower Japanese Arrowroot plant. Good luck. And oh, I find this a beautiful plant and great shot.
