In December??? I found a few buds last December too. Perhaps, it's not as uncommon as I think. We've had a few warmer days, so that's most likely the reason. Yesterday was a balmy 70 degrees. Tonight, it will dip back down into the 30s.
The Carolina wild jasmine are normally in full bloom in February or March. For those of you who read this far, this is the South Carolina state wildflower.
