Commonly known as Virginia Plantain, Southern Plantain, and Paleseed Plantain. Regarded as a common yard weed and native to the Carolinas and Georgia, don't dismiss this little gem! It has medicinal uses as an astringent, and there are 21st century references that it may be useful for blood disorders such as lymphomas and leukemias. This ends my third year of photos with 365. I kept up my membership for eight years though. Just no time for pics and I really, really missed it. Nearly everyone I knew from 2011 and 2012 is gone. That's sad because there were some really fabulous and lovely people here then. Happy to see a few old familiar avatars from back then and they know who they are. But - on with the new and another year of pics as long as I'm able. Cheers 365ers!
That is so interesting! I've been studying a little bit of plant medicine for personal use. It's amazing how many useful plants we have growing as weeds all around us!
