Shot in black and white. Doing my own black and white theme for the month of April. Going back to class so to speak... Only two out of the four "shades of gray" shots had pure black in the shadows. My professor would have called these "flat" - regardless of the composition or subject and graded them with a "C" at best. Forget about "monotone" style, if a black and white photo for his class did NOT have pure white in the highlights and pure black in the shadows - you were NOT going to get an "A" or "B" grade. This is where the rest of the month will get interesting for me!
1st week - only shades of gray in natural light - done
2nd week - black on white in natural light
3rd week - black on black in natural light
4th week - white on black in natural light
5th week - white on white in natural light
