@monikozi Benthamidia florida is its common name. There are many cultivated varieties too. But the above are the wild ones that are native to the Carolinas and Georgia. =)
@marlboromaam Thanks, Mags! I found it. When i tried first, I got to one with similar leaves but different flowers. Now i see they are related. In Romanian it has a bloody name - literally something related to blood. But I can not think of any possible translation of the term into English.
@monikozi They represent Christ's crucifixion here and always bloom around Easter time. Perhaps that's part of your translation. The passion flower also represents Christ's crucifixion, along with the plant - crown of thorns.
