Shot in black and white. I've been asked, "What's the difference in a dewberry and a blackberry?" Dewberries and blackberries are cousins, but NOT the same. Very briefly, dewberry vines ramble and run on the ground (like its name where the dew is found) - blackberry vines grow tall and woody. Dewberry blossoms have one bloom per flower stem - blackberries have multiple blooms on one flower stem. Personally, I think the dewberry is a little sweeter with less of a bitter after taste, but that's just me. Some say blackberries are bigger, however I have found this very debatable, depending on rain and sunshine - you can end up with some huge dewberries.
