A few weeks ago, Will had to have an IV for fluids, so his little leg got shaved down to the pink skin. He had a little episode with some blood in his stools which alarmed me and I rushed him to the vet. They did x-rays and couldn't find anything. Did a worm/parasite test - didn't find anything. Vet had no clue and said it was probably a bacterial infection, sent me home with antibiotics, wormer, probiotics and a very large bill... Will was fine the next day and I'm thankful for that! I think we pet owners and vets over react sometimes, but vet said Will can't pick up anymore sticks to chew on. Poor fella. He loves sticks better than his toys. So, I got him some rawhide sticks to chew on. The hair on his leg will grow back - I hope. Shot in black and white - no conversion.
yes chewing on sticks isn't good Mags, in the UK they had a big advertising campaign in the dog world to make owners aware of the dangers. Stay safe Will
Can sympathise with your predicament. Once saw part of a blue plastic clothes peg in Jasper's poop, and my friend's dog came out of hospital on Sunday after swallowing a fish hook !
@laroque Oh my gosh! Hope your friend's dog will be okay and yeah, I keep plastic things away from Will. If he chews up a toy to the point that he might swallow a piece - it goes straight in the trash.
@corinnec Thank you, Corinne. Always appreciate your comments.

@sugarmuser He's fine now, Sharon. Did your vet make a definite diagnosis?
@kipper1951 LOL! He might need one, right?! Thanks very much, Chris.
