Brittle in the wind...

So frail - they crumble with a touch. Shot in "monochrome" mode with the Canon and the 18-55mm lens. Handheld, so not as sharp as I'd like. IS makes a big difference and I don't have it! Many thanks to those hanging with me while I learn how to use this newer camera.
Lovely B&W close up

You've got great tonal separation. In my humble opinion, give yourself time to 'learn' the camera. I've had my Nikon 810 (bought used) for 2 years and I am still so challenged by it.

Wonderful dof!

Nice capture. To get it sharper, I think you need a little more DOF to get the big lower right leaf completely in focus. When you double the ISO, you get a faster shutter speed, what could help as well. 1/50 seems to be the lower limit for handheld with a 55 mm lens.

@joysabin You are very kind. I appreciate what you've said. Thank you!

@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana.

@talmon More ISO gives me a grainier shot. A narrower aperture would most likely have helped. This camera's shutter won't open if there's not enough light. I'm learning though. Thank you! =)
