The beginning of what will become a cluster of yellow blooms known as Packera dubia, aka woolly ragwort. They will pop up in the front or back yards. Shot in black and white mode. More info on this native wildflower here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=1366
@wakelys Interesting! This has never bothered my hands and I've used the stems of blooms in wildflower arrangements on the picnic table. Nothing like a lovely wildflower arrangement in a mason jar for a cookout. =)
Wonderful in B&W. Having native wildflowers in your yard is fantastic. We have a lot of non-native weeds, some poisonous and we are trying to learn what to do with those :-(
@corinnec Thank you so much, Corinne. Some of the non-native plants as long as they aren't invasive can be lovely. Of course you want to get rid of anything poisonous!
