I know it's a silly title, but this project has made me do some strange things. I usually pick up fallen pine cones all over the yard - all through the summer. They'll sometimes get caught in the belts of the lawn tractor. So I normally pick them up and throw them into the wash in the woods. Not NOW! This summer, I have been pitching all of them in a corner of the backyard - piling them up. I just love texture and I thought a pine cone graveyard might make some interesting shots. What do you think?
Again, filler. I didn't get the front yard mowed today and I am so far behind with all of you on your pics. My business took me a few hours longer than I expected today, but the outcome is VERY hopeful! Will catch up on your pics as soon as I can.
Pretty shot. I like the light and the shadows. I find myself taking pictures of all kinds of things. I scared a neighbor today by taking pictures of the water gushing from a water main break before the sun rose. He must have thought I was the neighborhood thief. Fortunately, he was only armed with a flashlight.
I keep ours in a pile in the corner flower bed...I like then, my husband says they are for the burning pile...but they are so pretty! I am glad you posted this!
Apologize for the mass reply! I hate to do it this way but, it's nearly 1 AM and I am still playing catch up! Thank you all for your wonderful comments and visits! I am so appreciative of each of you!
@vickisfotos I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one! Thank you, Vicki!
@wvgurll You are a sweetheart, Jen! Thank you for your comments and fav!
@daisy Thank you, Kathryn! LOL! I think I scare my neighbor, too, when he sees me with a camera. I get some funny looks! Love your story! Ha ha!
No such thing as a filler (in my opinion). A photo a day can be anything taken any time, and I sure am glad you posted the 3 you did today! I love your idea of a pine cone graveyard and think the title is so clever. I'm big on titles and always try to think of something different. You did great! And what a wonderful photo it is. The lighting is so pretty on the cones.
