Wildflower - Pencil-Flower in the pea family...

It pays to take a closer look! I dismissed all these tiny little yellow wildflowers as wood sorrel, but something told me to take a closer look. Another discovery growing on my little patch - commonly known as Pencil-Flower. Native to the Carolinas and Georgia.

that's a new flower for me as well. It is so nice to look now with a different eye and see new things that always have been around us, but we never noticed. This is a pretty wild flowers. Nice focus.

@dutchothotmailcom Thank you, Esther! The focus is not as sharp as I'd like. My cheap little camera has sensor trouble when it gets down to real tiny.
