This is not what I'd call a tall pine. It's only about 60 maybe 70 feet tall, but it's got a plaque-like fungus growing under its dead branches. These loblolly pines typically shed their lower branches as they get taller, so that's not new to me. However, another "something" to research and identify is good to help me take my mind off the nightmares. I've never seen or noticed a fungus like this before shooting up into this pine.
