Aureolaria pectinata...

Making my 7th wildflower find of summer - I look forward to seeing these all year. The place where I find them is on the edge of a dry, sandy patch of eastern red oak trees. I kept checking on them since they normally bloom earlier in June, but not this year. I thought they had been destroyed by mowers, but a small patch began to come up and I waited to catch them in bloom! They are commonly known as Southern Oak-leach, Sticky False Foxglove, or Combleaf Yellow False Foxglove. Another shot to follow with all the info.

This flower should have pride of place somewhere, not dedicated to the wild! So very pretty and with an unpronounceable name!
