Sweet Olive Fruit and Seeds...

Or Tea Olive (osmanthus) if you prefer. I found out through googling that the fruit bursting open is normal when it's ripe. Maybe this will show the texture of the fruit and the bright red color and shape of the seeds. Lots of good info here - https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1450/

For those of you who asked because of the heavenly scent of its blossoms, it was easy enough to google whether or not it can grow in Australia and it can! See this info here - https://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/fact-sheets/in-the-garden/flowering-plants-shrubs/osmanthus/

Also, since the species are native to eastern Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Indochina, the Himalayas, etc.) with a few species from the Caucasus, New Caledonia and Sumatra, it should thrive in most any sub-tropical to tropical climate. With that info here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmanthus
