Art of the Brick, Amsterdam Expo.
From left to right:
Discobolus (1:2), 5,821 bricks
Augustus of Prima Porta (1:1), 22,300 bricks
Winged Victory of Samothrace (1:3), 5,646 bricks
Nathan Sawaya should have gone much further than copying the real great works of art. In 'his own' creation he made an attempt but fails in general. Sawaya keeps to close the the brick. It's hard to see through the lego pieces to find an interesting second layer in his work. Mostly because this layer keeps very flat and pretty obvious.
Lego? Yes. Art? I think not.
