Interesting things happen when a dark body steps into a light source like this doorway. The way that it dampens the otherwise extreme highlights and allows for finer detail to emerge on the figures inside the hallway. I snapped a few photos in this set up, waiting for the one that told a story. I really like that the two figures heading towards the door are stepping in synch.
I shot this in colour originally, but this caused too much distraction from the subjects. I like how it looks in black and white.
