There is a community of houses nestled in the forest not too far from where I live in the Cariboo (British Columbia Canada.) I found this hive attached to the basement window of one of the building there, the woodshop. The hive was huge. And fortunately, mostly empty. Though I decided not to check that fact too closely.
The intricate construction was amazing, papery and curvy.
