Grass abstract # 1 by mcsiegle

Grass abstract # 1

Last week when I was out in the hay meadow, taking landscape pictures for my get pushed challenge, I began taking some pictures down at the ground -- grass and other plants -- as I walked back down to the the car, parked beside the wheat field. The motion of my walking, jiggling the camera produced some interesting abstract shots. So I thought I'd post a couple -- this one and another, which is less abstract, that I've put in my Alternates album.

The only photos I've taken today are 1.) a couple of squirrel pictures that are nothing to write home about -- although I DID get a whole squirrel this time (see the squirrel rear end I posted on 6/11) and 2.) photos I took for the mad minute word and I can't post that until tomorrow.
Interesting abstract! Maybe you can ETSOOI for the transparency theme. :-)

Hmm...I'll have to look at that theme and think about it. Thanks! If we take our desktop Mac to be repaired (needed!), there goes the PS Elements until the computer is back.

It looks like a face in the upper mid-section. Pretty, soft colors.

Some of the best images come from experimentation, this proves it. Like the pastel effect.

Works really well as an abstract & has a real sense of movement. If Jackson Pollock had a lawn, I bet it looked a bit like this!

@karenmatthews Squinting at it -- MAYBE I see the face you saw. Could use it as a rorschach test. LOL. Thanks for the comment.

@simonpz Thanks, Simon. You're right about experimentation. I did discover how the movement of my walking made these abstracted streaks. Now I need to experiment with more intentional movement. Don't ya love these learning curves?

@philr Thanks for taking the time to comment. Now I'm just visualizing the Jackson Pollack lawn. :-)
