It's not actually a picture of Barbara, but a picture of her shoe with her doll. Barbara was my mother-in-law. Her doll stands on the vanity in our bedroom. The shoe was in Mom's bureau along with a pair of little baby shoes that we are pretty sure were my husband's. Likewise, I am assuming by the vintage that this one was hers. Thank you SO MUCH to Ann @olivetreeann for telling me about ribbet.com. So nice to have a bit more editing capability while the Mac is gone than just Microsoft Office Picture Manager with its cropping and minimal adjustments. I thought the sepia and vignette was appropriate to her childhood in the late 1910's early '20s.
@sbolden Thank you, Scott. Wasn't sure I should spend the time to photograph this (loads of other more "important" things I should do. I'm glad I went ahead and did.
@kittikat Well, not bronze them! I honestly have no idea exactly what, though. For the time being, put them back in the drawer with Barbara's little shoe. We have so many things with sentimental value that we don't know exactly what to do with.
