The dinosaurs have grown very fond of playing with the Toys on 365. Their theme this week is "pets." Since the dinosaurs have no pets, they decided to pretend to be pets instead.
Here the Allosaurus is playing at being a dog. We decided it was a good chance to try some forced perspective. I think we overdid it a bit. Admittedly it is a new and relatively small tree, but that's a pretty big dog. Of course a dinosaur would like it that way. I wanted the black and white for my main 365 album for February. He insisted on the selective color, even though I said it would ruin my perfect flash-of-red February (which already had a flash of red, as I reminded him). But he pointed out, and probably rightly, that no one would get that he was supposed to be a dog, if they didn't notice the leash. I'm just thanking the powers that be that I chose a red ribbon for the leash. Would NOT have wanted a flash of green.
When he also pointed out that my post processing to blur the distracting background was a very crude job of it, I told him he was dangerously close to not getting posted in this album at all. Of all the nerve! He hurt my feelings, to be honest. I went back and did a wee bit of work on it just before posting. It's only a little less crude.
too funny. I love the way Allosaurus is straining against his leash in proper dog fashion, possibly unmannered but definitely showing his enthusiasm for entering the great outdoors.
