Another shot from the Little Apple Pride celebration here in Manhattan last Saturday. This is Lil Kim Chi, one of the drag performers who provided entertainment for the event. In this number she's signing the song, "Lift Me Up" in ASL (American Sign Language). It was very moving -- particularly so to me because our son is deaf and uses ASL. He wasn't with me at the Pride celebration. He lives in Olathe and probably wouldn't have been interested in going to this with me -- his tastes running more to horror movies than Pride parades and drag entertainment. :-)
